Pattern Play: Block Carving & Printing on Fabric     April 22-24, 2024                    Instructor: Jeanne Brady

Discover fun, creative ways to print dynamic patterns on fabric. Learn to design, carve, successfully ink up your blocks, and print on fabric with confidence. Carving is done with a set of inexpensive tools that last a lifetime. The textile pigments for printing are high quality, water-based, and permanent once heat set; the perfect medium for successful printing on fabric. Bring home your collection of carved blocks, instructions, and your hand-printed fabrics you created from start to finish. No experience necessary. Note: sharp tools are used to carve the blocks.

Note: The instructor will provide textile pigments, MOO Carve rubber blocks, foam, tracing paper and handouts. A fee, payable to the instructor, will be charged to each student for the pigments and other materials provided.

MATERIALS FEE: $85-$100 (dependent on the cost of pigments and blocks when the instructor purchases them)
