This hand dyed Indigo bag was created on 100% Linen fabric using the Itajime Shibori Technique. itajime is the process of folding fabric and then clamping it between boards or sticks.
The fabric iwas folded into wide vertical pleats and then subsequently folded into triangles, and then was clamped between 2 pieces of wood before being dyed in the indigo vat. The pressure exerted during the clamping process affects how the dye penetrates the fabric. This pattern is also called Naname Goshi or "lattice"
The exterior of this bag is 100% linen. The interior is lined with heavy canvas duck. There are contrasting shibori patterned pocket and bag bottom case details. Leather handles are sewn with our slow hand stitched stitching that is used on most of our bags!
Approximate size 10" x 5" x 15"
