Materials FEE:Instructor will provide fabric paint, discharges, resist materials and dyes. $30 to pay to instructor

  materials

-     Fabrics: any fabric will work, all pre-washed. It’s very useful to have a collection of different pieces of cloth such as silk chiffon, habotai, organza, linen, cotton, muslin (unbleached or bleached), hand-dyed fabric, printed fabric, vintage fabric, denim, and even scraps. Use what you have and we will make it work!

-     gloves

-     apron

-     mask

-     1-2 small towels

-     5-10 foam brushes

-     brayer or foam roller

-     wooden blocks or cardboard to make stamps

-     x-acto knife

-     cutting mat

-     1-2 spray bottles

-     brushes of all kinds and shapes

-     plastic spoons

-     scissors

-     rotary cutter

-     painter’s tape

-     1 roll of freezer paper

-     pencil

-     tracing paper

-     notebook, pencil and/or for sketching and taking notes

-     images, books or pictures for inspiration

-     rusted pieces

-     sewing needles & thread

 

Felting:

 

-     8-12 oz. merino wool, different colors

-     2 pieces of 24” x 24” bubble wrap

-     2 small pool noodle (you can cut 1 long one in half)

-     tulle

-     ball brause

-     2 towels

-     olive oil soap, preferable as a bar
