Come explore the "Magic of Indigo" and learn new Shibori techniques to create your own amazing fabrics for quilting (or other crafts).

During this class you will learn (4) Basic Shibori Resist techniques that include Kumo (binding), Ori-Nui (stitching), Itajime (clamping) and Arashi (pole wrapping) to create Fat Quarters for Quilting.  The Design possibilities are endless! Class include (1) Kona Cotton fat quarter (precut and scoured 18x22)  Students may bring additional fabric to dye if time is available. (pre scoured) 

this class suitable for all levels:

MATERIALS:

  • Rubber Gloves
  • Small pair scissors
  • Apron or large shirt to cover clothing
  • Additional pre-scoured cotton if desired

Class hours: 10:00am-3:30pm

Bring lunch  (also can call to order from local restaurant (Twisted Tuna), they will deliver and group can all eat together outside; due to long wait times it is not advisable to go out to eat. There is a small refridgerator in the studio if you want to bring your own lunch/ drinks)
