Learn how to apply colorful Earth Pigments, Lake Pigments and Mayan blue pigments to natural fabrics – cotton, linen, hemp, and silk.  Earth pigments are environmentally safe, non-toxic, UV permanent minerals, ochers, clays and oxides from the earth easily purchased from artisan suppliers. Learn to make Lake Pigments that are the insoluble forms of natural dyes and Mayan Blue Pigments are made using indigo powder.  Pigments are not dyes but are bound to fabrics using soymilk as the medium. These products are very fun to use and will be painted, stamped, stenciled, mono-printed and silkscreened in this workshop including using resists.
